has been in the cosmetics, makeup, and fashion industry for over 15 years. Hernan had the pleasure and honor of working as a regional makeup artist for one of the most prestigious makeup lines in the world, Chanel. He has worked with women of all ages, ethnicities, and skin tones. Hernan is a big believer in extenuating outer beauty with a touch of color. His exquisite taste, fashion sense, and amazing touch are natural gifts.

His venture in the cosmetic and makeup industry started with his make up services line, Sin Cosmetics and later with his own cosmetics line, Hernan Rivera Beauty. Hernan and his team of artists received many awards and acknowledgments, including being named one of Chicago’s best makeup artists by Quinceanera’s Magazine and named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Gay Latinos of Chicago by Zona Rosa Magazine. Chicago Latino Fashion Week board also recognized Hernan for his participation and innovative vision. Today Hernan is also the president of H&I Grand Productions and national director to Miss Grand United States & Miss Supranational USA, 2 of the top 6 international pageants in the world.  June of 2020 Miss Eco USA and Miss ECO Teen USA have been added to the H&I Grand Productions family. 

Hernan’s talent and outgoing personality allowed him to host his own beauty segment in Chicago Latino TV, which aired on Telemundo Chicago. He has also participated in significant print campaigns, pageants, and Chicago Red Carpet events. He has been an excellent mentor and patient instructor, developing young talent by expanding their knowledge with the use of color and fine-tuning their techniques. His expertise, honesty, and flawless application is what keeps peers and clients requesting his work and advice.  A big part of Hernan’s success comes from listening to the needs of each client and customizing their application to reflect and enhance their individuality. Hernan is a contributor to cutting edge editorials, runways, and fashion advertising agencies from California to New York, and Mexico to Ecuador.
